Our recent tour with Will Travel was an awesome adventure! The strategically located accommodations in the heart of each city not only made getting around a breeze but also immersed us in the vibrant local scene. Our guide's Aussie charm added an extra layer of fun, making the journey not just easy but truly enjoyable. From the lively streets of Naples to the bustling tapas bars in Madrid, this tour was a Mediterranean masterpiece. The highlights of high-speed train travel added an extra layer of excitement, whisking us seamlessly between iconic destinations. Highly recommend for those seeking a hassle-free, centrally located, and personalized adventure!
Wow - we saw so much in a short period of time
The team at Will Travel really make it easy. Each part of the trip is well planned out. The selection of activities give you a great introduction/experience in each city. The free time is great as it lets you focus on the things you want to see, which is usually different to other members of the group. The itinerary is extremely accurate in terms of departure and arrival times, so it allows you to confidently pre-book your own activities for the free time portion in advance. The majority of our train travel was first class, which was a bonus too. I'd highly recommend them.
Great tour. Really easy for a first timer.
I had only ever been overseas once and it was to an English speaking country, so travelling to Europe frightened the daylights out of me. Thankfully I booked the Italy, Austria and Germany 21 day small group tour. There was only 6 of us and it was magical. The Will Travel team make it super easy and the locations of the hotels are spot on. Everything is in walking distance, so you don't waste any time. I'd highly recommend Will Travel.
Frequently asked questions
I'm a solo traveller, is there a single supplement?
You can elect to share a room with another solo traveller of the same sex. If we can match you with another traveller, we will refund the single supplement at the end of the trip.
Why are there only 2 days in some cities and 3 in others?
The aim is to give you a minimum of 1.5 days in each city so you can see as much as you can. Some of the trips between cities take a bit longer than 2 hours, so we add an extra day to make up for the lost time travelling. Don’t worry, the countryside you will travel through on the train is amazing, so it’s not a downside.
Is it hard to get around? Will I need to use taxis?
We also use high speed rail connections to get between cities, so our hotels are not far from the main train stations.
When do the included activities occur?
Do I need to purchase additional tours/activities?
There is so much to see and do in european towns and cities, you can certainly keep yourself occupied without the need to spend any additional money on extra activities. But that completely depends on the type of experience you want to have.
Some people are just happy to walk the streets, drink coffee and enjoy the awesome cuisine each area has to offer. Others want to jam as much in as they can, which means paying for extra experiences. An example of this is seeing the Vatican Museums or the Colosseum. You’ll need entry tickets to see the inside, but they are relatively inexpensive at $40 AUD for each.
What should I pack?
There are some great laundromats along the way, so you can get some washing done to help cut down on the number of clothes you need. Check out our blog on packing tips.
